1987Blow-Fill-Seal Introduction
Blow-Fill-Seal packaging technology first introduced to the site
1988High Potency Oncology Packaging Introduction
High potency Oncology packaging technology first introduced to the site
1989Delta West acquired by Upjohn
Delta West was acquired by Upjohn Company, later renamed Pharmacia. Site continued to specialize in Blow-Fill-Seal and Oncology packaging.
1991Launch of First Cytotoxic Product
Launched first oncology products for the US market
1995Adelaide: Original GMP facility was built
Perth: Pfizer acquires Pharmacia
Pfizer acquired Pharmacia. Technology Park Facility in Perth, Australia became Pfizer’s center of excellence for Oncology and Blow-Fill-Seal products.
2003Adelaide: Facility licensed by the Australian TGA
2004Adelaide: Site acquired by Hospira
Perth: Pfizer’s Investment Program
Pfizer began an extensive investment program adding significant capabilities to the site including adding a Restricted Access Barrier System (RABS) and upgrading of Oncology and Specialty production line systems
2006Adelaide: Installation of 750 L fermenter and 2,900 L refold tank
2009Perth: Rommelag Commissioned
New State-of-the-art Rommelag Blow-Fill-Seal production line commissioned
2012Adelaide: New large scale purification equipment
2012-2013Adelaide: Hospira Technology Team of the Year (Pharma/Biologics)
