We are seeking a Senior Director/VP of Business Development to spearhead our growth across the EU and UK. What You Will Do
- Lead BioCina’s commercial expansion in the EU and UK, focusing on biologics services across microbial-based Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing.
- Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy, aligning market opportunities with BioCina’s advanced capabilities in large molecule development.
- Own the end-to-end business development cycle, from identifying and qualifying leads to proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-deal relationship management.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new opportunities across mAbs, recombinant proteins, pDNA, mRNA, and other large molecule programs.
- Represent BioCina at industry events and conferences, strengthening brand visibility and building strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to ensure solution alignment and seamless project onboarding.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape future service offerings and enhance BioCina’s competitive positioning.
Who You Are
- A proven business development executive with a minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in the biopharma or CDMO sector, preferably focused on large molecule programs.
- Deep understanding of biologics development and manufacturing—including process development, scale-up, tech transfer, GMP manufacturing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in selling complex biologics services to biotech and pharma across Europe and the UK.
- Skilled at building trust with scientific and C-level stakeholders, with strong consultative sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and effective in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree highly regarded.
- Based in the EU or UK, with the ability to travel to client sites and industry events.

What are we seeking?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group FP&A Principal to join our growing Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry. Based in Perth, the individual will work with both Perth and Adelaide facilities, partnering across the Group.
What will this role do?
- Lead both budgeting and forecasting: day-to-day leadership of the preparation and refinement of annual budgets and medium-term Group forecasts. Work closely with senior management, operational teams, HR and the finance group, to provide meaningful short- and longer-term Group financial plans, including a range of different business expansion cases. Group financial plans will span operating cash generation (e.g., revenue, operating costs inclusive of estimates of FTEs, G&A, EBITDA). Forecasts will also include unlevered and equity free cashflow generation (e.g., capital expenditure, debt principal & interest, and tax). Adjust forecasts in response to project changes or unanticipated costs, savings or changes to revenue.
- Assist in Board reporting: Work directly with senior management to deliver concise, accurate and insightful financial reports for the Board, including variance analysis between budget and actual, with succinct insights behind significant deltas and emerging trends.
- Partner with the business: Perform variance analysis comparing budgeted versus actual costs and timelines. Partner with operational teams (project managers and senior stakeholders) to identify the causes behind discrepancies and to recommend corrective actions.
- Provide project managers with financial reporting support: Support operational team with project financial tracking, including cost categorisation, resource allocations, project milestone reporting, inventory tracking, and client billing and invoicing.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities or where processes can be streamlined. Enhance data accuracy and timeliness to support data-driven decision making and optimise financial performance.
- Drive the next phase of the roll-out of Phocus: Work with the Executive Team, operational teams and the Finance group to drive the continued roll-out of the new business intelligence and consolidation reporting tool. Work with project managers to generate automated dashboards and reporting to support improved decision making.
- Provide additional cover for the Finance group: As available, provide assistance to Group statutory financial and management reporting, reconciliations between the general ledger and supporting data, and tax compliance.
- Support internal control environment: Help establish and maintain strong internal control processes, to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
What are the qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CA Certification preferred.
- Minimum 7 – 10 years of financial management experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations including familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial software.
- Must be highly proficient in Excel, including detailed financial modelling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must be able to partner with all parts of the business.
- Ability to drive process improvement and implement financial best practices.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally with finance and operational teams.
