We are seeking a Senior Director/VP of Business Development to spearhead our growth across the EU and UK. What are we seeking?
In line with our business growth, we are seeking a VP/Senior Director of Business Development to spearhead our growth across the EU and UK regions. This is a high-impact, remote role ideal for a driven, strategic, and technically fluent professional with a passion for biologics and an ability to engage clients at all levels—from discovery-stage biotech to established pharma.
What will this role do?
- Lead BioCina’s commercial expansion in the EU and UK, focusing on biologics services across microbial-based Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing.
- Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy, aligning market opportunities with BioCina’s advanced capabilities in large molecule development.
- Own the end-to-end business development cycle, from identifying and qualifying leads to proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-deal relationship management.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new opportunities across mAbs, recombinant proteins, pDNA, mRNA, and other large molecule programs.
- Represent BioCina at industry events and conferences, strengthening brand visibility and building strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to ensure solution alignment and seamless project onboarding.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape future service offerings and enhance BioCina’s competitive positioning.
What are the qualifications?
- A proven business development executive with a minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in the biopharma or CDMO sector, preferably focused on large molecule programs.
- Deep understanding of biologics development and manufacturing—including process development, scale-up, tech transfer, GMP manufacturing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in selling complex biologics services to biotech and pharma across Europe and the UK.
- Skilled at building trust with scientific and C-level stakeholders, with strong consultative sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and effective in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree highly regarded.
- Based in the EU or UK, with the ability to travel to client sites and industry events.

We are seeking a highly capable, resourceful, and composed Executive Assistant to the CEO to provide dedicated, end-to-end support to our Chief Executive Officer during the current EA’s maternity leave.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work one-on-one with a visionary CEO, playing a pivotal role in enabling focus, driving execution, and maintaining momentum across strategic initiatives, operational commitments, and high-priority projects in a fast-moving, global business.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, intuitive, and relentlessly organised, trusted to manage priorities, relationships, and confidential matters with precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of how to keep the CEO informed, effective, and ahead of the game.
What will this role do?
- Provide day-to-day executive support to the CEO, ensuring seamless management of commitments, communications, and deliverables.
- Manage an intricate calendar across multiple time zones (Australia, USA, Europe) with impeccable accuracy and anticipation.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, itineraries, and expense reconciliations.
- Attend and support monthly Board of Directors meetings, including preparing and finalising board packs, accurately capturing minutes and action items, and tracking follow-up items to completion.
- Draft, proof, and manage correspondence, presentations, and executive-level reports on behalf of the CEO.
- Act as a central liaison across internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring priorities are clearly aligned and executed.
- Manage occasional personal tasks that enhances the CEO’s productivity, such as travel coordination, personal appointments and errands, and schedule alignment.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at the highest level across all engagements.
- Travel occasionally between Adelaide and Perth (when requested by CEO), and be flexible to adjust hours occasionally to accommodate time zone differences, including when the CEO has travel outside of Australia.
What are the qualifications?
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant to a C-suite leader or equivalent senior role.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex schedules, international travel, and high-level correspondence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional, polished demeanour.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.).
- A very positive and welcoming demeanour, as a primary face of the company, and always representing the company CEO.
